I've been listening to a lot of Dylan and a lot of bluegrass lately, so this Dylan cover by bluegrass legends Flatt & Scruggs is a natural song to post:
Flatt & Scruggs - Down In The Flood (buy)
Good stuff. It's available with a plethora of other great Dylan covers over at the blog When You Awake. Check out Dylan Goes Twang, Part I and Dylan Goes Twang, Part II.
And if you are looking for a whole bunch more Dylan covers, this week's theme at Star Maker Machine is Dylan Covers. I've posted a few over there already and will be posting a few more before the week is done. Check it out all this week!

In just two days, it's been a memorable week at SMM. Never knew the Bobster's fan base was so rabid.
Last night I was listening to Jerry Garcia's 'Old And In The Way'
and love their take on 'Wild Horses' which is so unique and different in comparison to the versions by the Stones and the Burritos. This Flatt and Scruggs version of 'Down In The Flood' also re-invents the song in a way that makes it completely their own. Entirely different from the
Dylan original, and indeed the brilliant Steve Young version.
Also, we just did a post on covers of Dylan's great "Mama You Been on My Mind" which you can find over here.
Keep up the good work
