Bo Diddley at the Adios Lounge

The Adios Lounge is not a nightclub (at least not the one I am referring to) and Bo Diddley did not play there, but now that I've got your attention, you must go to The Adios Lounge blog to read L.D.'s two amazing posts on Bo Diddley. Click on Bo Diddley Part 1 and Bo Diddley Part 2.

I'm not sure how L.D. finds the time to put together such good stuff, but the proprietor of The Adios Lounge is a music-blogging machine. If you haven't already, be sure to get it on your radar screen.

STWOF isn't going to be around forever, but that won't be a problem with blogs like L.D.'s out there (not to mention For the Sake of the Song, The Rising Storm, and Boogie Woogie Flu just to name a few other great ones that I read regularly).

Thanks for directing us to the Adios Lounge. However, please don't stop blogging any time soon. There is no other blog that devotes itself to consistently covering classic country music. You are filling a gap that those other blogs only begin to address...

I'm going to have to echo cameo's comment. It'd be a shame to lose STWOF!

In the words of Bill Murray - "You can't go. All the plants are gonna die."

Seriously, STWOF is a must-read.

Sorry. Dealing with heavy burn-out here...

I'm not quite ready to push the "delete blog" button just yet, but I've been reduced to posting lists...

What's next? Random collections of songs about shoes!? (joking)

Ha! @ "Random collections of songs about shoes"...

Well, burnout can be expected, I guess. Just don't hit that 'delete' button. Even if you go on hiatus for a bit, the words you have up here are a great resource for us all.

We like you Paul!

Hey Paul, finally playing catchup after a few days of PC R&R. Thanks for the shout-out. And count me among the chorus hoping you don't burn down the village to save the village. Although, I certainly sympathize. It's a balancing act for sure.

One more vote for you to take a break and relax...but don't pull the plug until you have had a chance to rest and decide if that is what you really want to do. I love your blog and these artists don't get the exposure that they deserve. Also- thanks for the pointer to The Adios Lounge.
