Three post in one day??? What's going on? I don't know. I guess I'm just in the mood. And now I'm into the sauce--Guinnes Stout to be exact. Was just chillin' and surfing the web when I was struck by the very cool back-up singers on this song and the general jazzy mood of the whole thing. Great piano part. I'm really liking it, so why not share it with a thousand friends?
Check out this really great track from Nick Drake's second album, Bryter Lyter:
Nick Drake – Poor Boy (buy album).
I'm a little late to the Nick Drake party, but better late than never.

Good song - though this is my least favorite Nick Drake album. Pink Moon, on the other hand, is a desert island disc. It is simply perfect, from beginning to end.
I actually heard both albums for the first time about ten years ago. I was working in a record store and someone came in and sold both albums to us (vinyl!). I bought them for a total of $5. Best $5 I ever spent.
I've been listening to his three main albums a lot lately. I haven't really differentiated between them as far as which is my favorite. They all sound great from begining to end.
I wonder what percentage of bloggers have worked at record stores? You and I both. Ranks right up there with running a music blog as a great place to learn about new music.
You win the award for being the first to use "Nick Drake" and "party" in the same sentence.
